Pension schemes

Introduction:

There are three types of pension schemes in Ireland. There is pension provided by your employer. This is called occupational pension. There is a pension provided by the government. This is a state pension. There is a pension you can deposit into privately. This is a private pension

 

 

Government services provided for pensioners:

The Irish government offers a range of free and discounted services for elderly people living in Ireland. These include nursing home care, rehabilitation care, transport services, community, social, home care and family help. 

 Pension allowance:

The State pension in Ireland for a person aged 66 or over is €265.30 per week.
